What are the responsibilities of my role?

Roles and Responsibilities for different roles at Camp (FYI: You can find more information in the Staff Portal 'Roles and Responsibilities' section):

Camp Manager - Senior staff member on site at a Code Camp venue 

Responsible for: 

• Sign in/out of students
• Sign in/out of staff
• Any First Aid required by students/staff on site
• Playground supervision - must create and distribute roster amongst other staff
• Behaviour management of students
• Feedback and support on teaching techniques to other staff 
• Camp Managers must hold a tertiary Teaching Degree and valid First Aid Certification

Head Teacher - Teaching staff member on site at Code Camp venue 

Responsible for: 

• Deliver our lesson plan to a class of ~25 students
• Keeping the class on track and adjusting lesson pace as needed
• Provide direction to assistants Head Teachers must be fluent with the Lesson Plan of their assigned class and fluent with error troubleshooting guidelines for Code Camp World.

Co-Head Teacher - Teaching staff member on site at Code Camp venue 

Responsible for: 

• Joint delivery of our lesson plan to a class of ~25 students
• Keeping the class on track and adjusting lesson pace as needed
• Clarify any class confusion with difficult concepts
• Provide direction to assistants 
• You may be asked to co-Head if it is your first time teaching at Code Camp, so you have extra support when presenting the Lesson Plan.

Teaching Assistant - Teaching staff member on site at Code Camp venue 

Responsible for: 

• Provides one on one help to individual students during class
• Debugging student’s games when an error occurs
• Keep an eye out for any misbehaviour or disruption 
• Teaching assistants must be familiar with the lesson plan of their assigned class and familiar with error troubleshooting guidelines for Code Camp World.
