First Aid Requirements

If you have applied for Camp Manager roles (because you are a Qualified Teacher) then you will need to be First Aid trained. If you are not a Qualified Teacher, this certification is strongly desired but not mandatory- however there are certain After School or Corporate Camp locations that DO require it, so holding one will increase shifts you are eligible for.

See below for a list of first aid course codes- note that HLTAID012 is our preferred certification as the first aid examples you'll work through will be directly related to working with children but the others are acceptable as well.

Code Camp do not have a preferred First Aid provider or company to recommend to you. Simply Google one of these course codes to find out where they are on offer near you and book in - note that the course is usually delivered face to face.

• HLTAID009 (CPR (or as it's previously known, HLTAID001)). Along with HLTAID011/003 or HLTAID012/004;
• HLTAID010 (HLTAID002, Emergency First Aid). Normally this comes as part of a First Aid/ Childcare First Aid course;
• HLTAID011 (HLTAID003, First Aid). This alongside an annual CPR is needed. 
• HLTAID012 (HLTAID004, Childcare First Aid). This will be alongside an annual CPR. Note that this is our first choice preference!
• E-emergency Care (for NSW). Note that if this is what you have, you will need at least the CPR qualification alongside this (as we require some in-person training alongside any online courses).
